Anti Social Behaviour / Brothel Update

Please review the following update regarding Anti Social Behaviour which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

 

We have received reports from the community that several locations were reportedly being used as brothels, which were also creating associated anti-social behaviour.

We contacted our colleagues in Immigration Enforcement - after checks established that persons suspected of being involved were also potentially illegal entrants or overstayers.

Today, on Thursday 17th July 2025, officers from your local ward teams, alongside immigration enforcement officers, attended 3 separate addresses and detained multiple persons. Several arrests were made and they were conveyed to local immigration detention centres.

We know that often there is also the potential for women and girls to have been forced into these activities - and therefore safeguarding reports have also been completed and checks alongside immigration will look at any allegations of human trafficking.

Antisocial behaviour can come in many forms and can require support from more organisations than just the police. There are 13 different types of antisocial behaviour that we may be able to help with, including abandoned vehicles, littering or drugs paraphernalia and street drinking.
